He expanded Achayans' visibility by opening three new outlets in 2022, 2023, and 2024, strategically located for maximum customer reach and convenience.

Early Life and Education

Silji Varghese was born and raised in the picturesque town of Alappuzha, known for its backwaters and scenic beauty. Growing up in Alappuzha instilled in Silji a deep appreciation for culture, hospitality, and community values. His passion for the hospitality industry led him to pursue a degree in Hotel Management from the prestigious DADAR Catering College in Mumbai.


Professional Beginnings

After completing his education, Silji began his career as a Hotel Operations Manager trainee at the renowned Taj Group of Hotels. This experience gave him invaluable insights into hotel management, customer service, and operational efficiency. His tenure at Taj laid a strong foundation for his future endeavours in the hospitality and retail sectors.

Career Milestones

Paragon Restaurant, Dubai

In 2002, Silji Varghese embarked on a new chapter in his career by joining Paragon Restaurant in Dubai as the Regional General Manager. Over the next 18 years, he played a pivotal role in transforming Paragon Restaurant into a culinary landmark. His leadership and strategic vision were instrumental in earning the restaurant the prestigious ‘Best Restaurant Award’ from the Dubai Government. This accolade recognised the restaurant’s excellence and highlighted Silji’s exceptional management skills.


Transition to Entrepreneurship

Inspired by his success in Dubai, Silji returned to India to create his business empire. Leveraging his extensive experience and industry knowledge, he ventured into retail by launching franchises of VSTAR, a subbrand of Vguard. Concurrently, he established franchises of Achayans, a multi-cuisine restaurant chain focusing on continental foods.
